Early Beginnings
From his very first laps at just eight years old, Billy has been driven by passion, precision, and an unwavering commitment to success. His racing career began in karting, where he quickly became a standout competitor, earning numerous local victories along with marquee wins at prestigious events such as Thanksgiving Thunder and the Bobby Looper Memorial Race.
Stepping Up: The Transition to Stock Cars
In August 2023, Billy made the leap to full-sized stock cars, competing in the final four Limited Late Model races at Hickory Motor Speedway. It didn’t take long for his natural talent to shine — in just his second career start, he secured his first top-10 finish, marking the start of a promising new chapter.
The 2024 Breakout Season
The 2024 season was Billy’s first full campaign at Hickory, and he wasted no time making an impact. Over 17 races, he recorded 16 top-10 finishes, including 6 top-5s, 4 podiums, and captured his first career win in only his 16th start. His consistency and growth throughout the season earned him 3rd place in both the Big 10 Series and Hickory Motor Speedway championship standings, along with the titles of Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Driver.
2025: Rising Through the Ranks
In 2025, Billy continued his climb, beginning the year in Limited Late Models before advancing to the Late Model Stock division midseason. Despite the transition, he has already achieved 16 top-10s, 11 top-5s, 6 podiums, and 2 wins, showcasing his adaptability and determination to compete at the highest level.
Even without running a full Late Model Stock season, Billy’s results speak volumes. He finished 3rd in points, earned another Rookie of the Year title, and placed 10th in the NASCAR Regional Rookie of the Year standings, solidifying his reputation as one of the sport’s fastest-rising young talents.
